Welcome to the Department of Mathematics

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Mathematics Department at Bunyore Teachers Training College. As the Head of Department, I am honored to lead a team of dedicated and experienced tutors who are committed to excellence in mathematics education and teacher training. Mathematics is a cornerstone of logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving — skills that are essential not only for teaching but also for lifelong learning. Our department strives to equip trainee teachers with a strong foundation in both content and pedagogy, aligned with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and the standards set by the Ministry of Education and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC). We believe that every trainee has the potential to become an effective and inspiring mathematics teacher. Through interactive learning, innovative teaching methods, and continuous assessment, we aim to nurture confidence, competence, and a positive attitude towards mathematics.
